Two people who were shot and killed Monday in northwest Miami-Dade were identified.

The shooting happened near Northwest 146th Street and 7th Avenue about 8:40 p.m.

Officers responded to the scene after hearing gunfire.

Miami-Dade police said Dorian Jones, 38, of Pembroke Pines, and Stephen Smith, 24, of Miami, were found shot to death inside a car.
